31: rode to Colchester, met Mr Newcomen , and divers other Ministers, we had much discourse concerning falling into practice; and in the first place, seeing that elders are to be chosen; by whom shall it be done, the parliament proposes by the people that have chosen taken the covent. others as Mr Owen conceived this too broad, and would have first a separation to be made in our parishes; and that by the minister, and those godly that join to him, and then proceed to choosing:. my horse threw me as I returned home, but through the good providence of god, I had no hurt, at all.
