10: meeting at my house our discourse was concerning baptism; Mr Harlakenden was afraid of a writ from my lord of Oxford by a stranger from London, but he came about another business, by whom I heard of the sad tumult and rising of divers apprentices and other rude people at London, wherein 5 or 6 persons were slain, the lord in mercy quiet men's minds and prevent new broils, and troubles for his names sake, on the Tuesday morning it rained most sweetly, praised be our good god, and the earth craved it.
