April: 1: This week the lord was good to us in all our outward mercies; and in the season which was dry and healthful, this morning was a growing warm, moist morning, divers times this week I feared my navel, but through mercy it was not sore, the lord I trust will heal me, I put my trust in him, and am at rest. I did not much in any of my studies this week, spent much in visiting friends, etc. the lord was good to me in giving me strength and ability for the Sabbath, but I found my heart assaulted with vile thoughts in the same, oh change me thoroughly oh my god for my eyes are upon thee;
