23. dined and lay at my lady Honywoods . Mr Harlakenden was very wet in his coming home, it was a good providence to me that I escaped the rain. Mr R. Harlakenden and his tutor came to Colne, the engagement outs many deserving men from their fellowships, its thought there will fall a sad blow upon the ministry, the universities, and their means, the report is that one moved whether there should be any standing ministry in England, but that is somewhat too much yet for this early day.
