2: This day set apart for a public fast, the congregation very full; my heart not broken though somewhat enlarged in prayer, the word very precious, sweet, and comfortable, the lord was good to us in prayer at the priory , for which I bless his name, heard of the relapse of Cromwell , the lord raise him up. there are 2 dead now in the town of the smallpox the lord in mercy keep me and mine in safety under his wings. this day wet and cold.
