July: 20: This week past the lord extended compassions to me and mine in our health, and outward mercies, I had an illness in my head taken through cold, and sweating in these hot nights, but now I find my head far better than formerly, for which my soul heartily desires to bless my god, the weather hot and dry, no news this week of certainty. though there were very great reports of things, the lord was good to me in keeping my heart in some closeness to him and eyeing him in my ways, he in mercy accept of me, delight in me and do me good, the lord was good to me in the work of the day, I preached in order to the lords supper, the lord in mercy accept of me, and delight in me for good. my navel continues well through mercy for which the lord be praised.
