30: Heard Derby routed in Lancashire, divers of quality slain, many prisoners the levies intended in the West of Scotland, broken. Sterling Castle taken, and our army gone towards Dundee. Cromwell at Warwicke, all marching towards Worcest where they are before this time. spent some part of the day in prayer at my Lady Honywoods , spoke. Amicah. 5. v. 8. I listen that god will very much shorten the work.
