18. at Coxall Mr Owen preached Mr Sames set apart that day with fasting and prayer to be a teaching elder to the church at Coxall. he made a confession of faith, that was no open consent of the church, nor no acceptance of it with any words, nor promise to do anything. the messengers viz pastors of 3 churches gave their approbation of the act and were witnesses of the churches act one gave an exhortation. 2 prayed for a blessing.
