Aug: 1: The Lord was good to me and mine in many outward mercies: my son Tho: ill, he had the measles, it might have been sadder. and I apprehend took cold, from whence I conceive it proceeded, the lord bear up my heart to delight in him under every state and condition, the lord show me my vain, and sinful heart, and how evil thoughts act in me, the lord in mercy make me sensible of it, my heart is very much shut up and straightened in prayer, both at home and abroad, the lord enliven me and act my spirit, the lord rejoice over me for good, the lord was good to me in the Sabbath for which I bless and praise his most holy name,
