November. 21: This week past the Lord renewed his goodness to me and mine in the sense whereof I desire to rejoice before him, my John grows up comfortably blessed be god, my heart is apprehensive of great troubles entering on England, then often I think on our landing men in France according to my dream which works strongly in my head(,) the lord in mercy gives me to see the weakness of my heart. and helps me much against my old corruptions. I find my spirit much strait and dead in prayer, oh when will the lord enlarge me. god good to me in the Sabbath wherein I rejoice. the weather very warm and hitherto dry very little rain has yet fallen.
