2: the Lord was good to me and mine in outward mercies, my Jane only gently visited with an ague, the lord good to me in helping me against my many lusts and temptations, so that they have not that commission to trouble me as at other times, the lord sets my mind more on himself and the work he is about more than formerly, and I desire more closely to walk with him than formerly, oh let thy self and thy christ be my portion for I desire nothing else in heaven and earth: the lord was good to me in the Sabbath, I renewed the motion for new England, some poor came in, most of the richer sort came in(.) I received in money. 4li.17s.10d. and Mr Cressener subscribed 40s. we have somewhat above 50li. blessed be our god in what we shall do in this work, the lord accept it, and advance his own glory thereby
