Jan. 9. This week past the lord good to me in many outward mercies, he looked from heaven on us with some showers, and now frost, which is seasonable, into my family god has looked and gently afflicted my daughter and maid(,) look into their hearts, lord and mine and thereby do us good: the times dark nothing stirring, though great expectations; the state only issued a proclamation against Jesuits to be done by March. 1. next. this day it snowed very much, I trust the lord will command convenient and seasonable weather for his poor people, the lord was good to me in the Sabbath, in the work of it, but I find little working on my heart or others. gathered. 3li. more for New England design.
