June: 5. God good to me in many mercies and also to mine, our cows put out into the street by a neighbour put us to very much trouble all this day, my heart has often run riot from god, and justly may make everything a trouble, it might have been a sadder providence, my base unworthy heart calls for disquietments indeed, my heart much on trouble, harping, that success or loss will hasten it on the lords, yet I always thought our fleet would prevail, and I had such an intimation against Danes and Hollanders not yet without some loss on our part, the lords will be done in all things
