June: 19. The Lord good and gracious to me and mine in all our outward mercies for which I praise him, the lord has given us much rain, and I apprehend, it may be the purpose of god to smite the crop by rain, not giving this sinful nation to enjoy, their thoughts in the creature, it dewed this day also: my heart a little and but a little more quickened and let out in prayer, this day, wherein formerly I have found much straitness, I was very drowsy in my body and very dull in my mind to heavenly things the lord help me, yet very sensible that the lord give me inward desires and also some endeavours to keep close to him in integrity and uprightness.
