Sept. 18: This week the weather windy, and dry. Thos Humphry through mercy grows better and better, and does up and down about my business, in which mercy, I rejoice, my dear wife very ill with her teeth, god in mercy give her ease and continue her health, my heart I find meditative of worldly vanities, and not living on god, and taken up with god, whereby Satan gets advantage against me, lord be my help and strength I pray
