Sept. 25. The weather very seasonable, cold, clear and dry. my family and indeed town in health blessed be god, my heart very apt to wander on outward things, and not fasten its meditation on god so as to maintain communion with him, the lord gave me strength for the sabbath and helped me in the same, who am altogether worthless and empty.
