July. 22. The Lord good to me in many mercies, but my heart is not mortified to bear contradictions and oppositions in relations, it makes me meet with some trouble, the lord help me this day in the word, with much calmness to speak to the evil of the times, the lord speak to the hearts of this people, and preserve them from every evil word and work in a very sinful generation, the day close, and cooler than some former days.
