19. This week god gave us very dewy weather, the earth yields grass in abundance for which my soul blesses god, the lord continues his wonted goodness to me, heard this week the men that are to make christ King, were plotting against the Protector, and that he seized on divers of them; in course I read this day. 1. Kings. 11. and 12. chapters, my heart was not lively this day, oh my deadness in gods service, I find yet my heart picking up hope in gods covenant and promise, and I desire to be prepared for those difficulties of condition that are coming on us.
