17. Mr Harlakenden went towards London, his family alone, god give me a heart to serve him, in the good of that family.

Pain in my arm and body made me more sensible of state than at some other time, opening my eyes to look back and see my faults, though none can understand his errors at the same time, the follies of my young children awakened me to see the sad effects of our fall in Adam, how operative corruption is tainting of us, which I hope shall put me to exercise faith in the blood of christ, and to receive daily grace to live and walk more exactly
