Jan. 24. The Lord good to me and mine outward mercies, my wife upwards, as she rests in the night so commonly she is in the day, so he gives his beloved sleep do it lord for her, my god accept my praise for his mercy. I never had so much care of the family on me, having little help in those about me, indeed our cousin, a cosener rather than a help no trust being in her, which made my wife more dear to me, it was a good Sabbath to me, the lord uphold me in his ways, little is our encouragement, but what we have from him, and he is our friend, the season was very cold, the lord be blessed who provides for us against the difficulties thereof
