April. 4: A cold wet day, we trust and hope god will in mercy rebuke the wind, and call for the spring, but lord call for flowings forth, and aboundings in my soul towards god, the lord was a help to me in the Sabbath. Bat. Clarke that had quite laid by the public worship and was hankering after Quakers and anything returned to hearing the word preached this day and last, I know not his root Lord, you do, keep him in it if you delight to have it so.
