14: This day Mrs Harlakenden and my wife parted, for such dear friends very composedly, but oh how loath she is I should be absent, lord in our love let us taste Christs love, and love him as sensible as each other, when you have returned me safe as I trust you will, and I almost know it, for I have Abrahams shield and Jacobs promise, and the god of them both to be with me, when I return it shall be to her comfort in the increase of my love and tenderness, and in the meantime you will bless me and all mine, with thee I leave all as with a faithful god, I know you will look after them.
