Nov. 22. God good in many mercies a very glum time, the sun not appearing in many days, very little sunshine since mid April, my wife cheerful under very lingering pains, god good in the word, a good Sabbath. many over desirous the Turks should overrun christendom, to gain their liberty in former. my soul abhorred that principle. I look on them as a sad scourge, but god may do good by them, and convert them that I should glory in, but not their success to gain any outward liberty by them.
