July. 15. after a very bad, wet week for our business, a wet Swithin. god shall command his mercies for those that trust in him, whereof I am one, knowing the seasons are in his hand: I was alone, yet cheerful. did not Johns ill course of life afflict me; heard all well at London for which my praises are to god through christ Jesus, I prayed for fair weather. the sky clear. set myself to seek god for old age. ps. 71.18. lord be my stay therein.
