Dec. 8. A dry cheerful day. god good in his word, lord put no interruption to this work, the King and house of Commons are a little off, one another, god prevent a breach to sever the parliament. the army is to be disbanded, god in mercy watch over us, some threat as the greatest revolution we ever saw, were at the door, the lord order all for good(.) my dear wife in a hopeful way of recovery and all my family continue well, to god be the praise of all. I will wait, for god will speak peace to his people and let not me nor mine oh lord return to folly.
