to this court came Jn Hatch junior in person and humbly sought from the lord admittance to one customary cottage with appurtenances called Masons now in the tenure or occupation of Rich Hayward which he claims as son and next heir of     his mother deceased according to the custom of the said manor to whom the same said Jn at his petition the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
