to this court also came Jn Ayleward customary tenant of this manor and in full and open court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward one parcel of a certain customary cottage now in the occupation of Potter widow to the use and behoof of Jn Clarke of Earls Colne tailor his heirs and assigns forever to whom the same said Jn Clarke present here in court the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to himself and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord therefore his fine and fealty and was admitted thereof tenant etc
