at this court it is shown by the homage that Barth Church gentleman customary tenant of this manor after the last court and before this court viz 29.4.1629 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Simon Ive instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Jn Hawksby clerk and Rich Kempe two customary tenants of the said manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor among other things the reversion title and his interest of and in 1a of customary land by estimation at some time parcel of Bearecroft with customary garden adjoining the said 1a and with a pond being in the said garden held of the said manor by name all his lands and tenements customarily held of the said manor to the use and intention of his last will and testament and afterwards viz 11.1.1630 the aforesaid Barth Church made his testament and last will in writing under the signature of the ordinary for this area signed and approved and here in court produced and shown by which the court is shown that the said Barth Church by his said testament willed and bequeathed the said reversion of the said 1a of land with garden and the said pond to a certain Rose Church widow his mother her heirs and assigns forever and afterwards and before this court the aforesaid Barth died seised thereof upon which came the said Rose Church his mother and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by his said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have the aforesaid reversion of the said 1a of land with garden and the said pond and appurtenances to the said Rose Church her heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine as is shown in the margin     and made fealty to the lord and was admitted tenant thereof
