and furthermore it is shown by the homage that the said Barth Church customary tenant of this manor after the last court and before this court viz 19.4.1629 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Simon Ive instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Hawksby clerk and Rich Kempe two customary tenants of the said manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor among other things all that his customary tenement called Berecroft containing by estimation 4a3r then divided into two parcels and sometime of Robt Knight tenant of the said manor by name all those his lands and tenements held of the said manor to the use and intention of his last will and testament and afterwards viz on the 11.1.1630 the said Barth Church made his testament and last will in writing under the signature of the ordinary for this area signed and approved here in court produced and shown by which the court show that the said Barth by the aforesaid testament willed and bequeathed his said customary tenement called Berecroft to the said Rose Church and her heirs forever and afterwards and before this court the said Barth Church died thus seised thereof upon which the aforesaid Rose Church came here into court and humbly sought admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have the aforesaid customary tenement called Bearcroft with appurtenances to the said Rose her heirs and assigns forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and she gave to the lord her fine as is shown in the margin and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant
