at this court it is presented by the homage that Thos Prior junior customary tenant of this manor after the last court and before this court viz 21.1.1630 surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of instead of the bailiff in the presence of and Barth Clarke two customary tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor one messuage or tenement with appurtenances called Goolds with a certain curtilage and barn pertaining to the said messuage to the use and behoof of Jn Clarke and Eliz his wife for their lifetime and to the longer liver the remainder thereof to the heirs of the said Jn Clarke forever who present here in court sought admittance to whom the lord by his steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to them for their lifetimes and to the longer liver the remainder thereof to the heirs of the said Jn Clarke forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents customs and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord a fine and made fealty and were admitted tenants thereof
