fine 6liwhereas at a court held 4.4.1632 Edw Somerson Francis Somerson and Margery Somerson children of Jn Somerson senior were admitted tenants of the lord to one messuage and certain lands and customary tenements called Stacys and Wastlyns with the barns stables and buildings pertaining to the said messuage as is clearly shown by the said court roll now to this court come the said Edw Francis and Margery and in full and open court for and in consideration of the 100li here in court paid by Wm Harlakenden gentleman of Earls Colne they surrender into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the said messuage and other premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the said Wm Harlakenden and Smythea his wife and the heirs and assigns of the said Wm Harlakenden forever whereupon comes into court the said Wm Harlakenden himself and the said Smythea by Jn Parker her attorney and deputy and humbly crave admittance to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have the said messuage and other premises with appurtenances to the said Wm and Smythea and the heirs and assigns of the said Wm forever to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they give to the lord their fine and the said Wm makes fealty and they are admitted tenants thereunto
