and furthermore whereas at a court here held 20.10.1646 Robt Prior and Margt his wife were admitted tenants of the lord for themselves and the heirs of the said Robt to one piece of land or yard containing in length from a certain ash tree towards the street 3rod and a half and in length from the said ash tree to the pathway 1rod and a quarter with a cottage built thereon with appurtenances late parcel of a tenement called Pannells as is shown by the said court roll now to this court came the said Robt Prior and Margt his wife the same Margt solely and secretly examined by the steward of the said court and agreed and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the said piece of yard or land and cottage built thereon with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Hen Aymes and his heirs who present in court humbly sought admittance to the premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said cottage and premises with appurtenances to the said Hen Aymes his heirs and assigns from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine and made fealty
