whereas at a court held for the said manor 12.10.1637 Hen Abbott was admitted tenant to him and his heirs to one messuage and certain customary lands called The Hayhouse and to certain lands called Sladeslands thentofore parcel of The Hayhouse and then and now used and occupied with the same now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Hen Abbott since the last court died of the premises so seised and that Hen Abbott the younger is his son and heir who being present in court desired to be admitted tenant to the same to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said messuage and lands called The Hayhouse and the said lands called Sladeslands with their appurtenances to the said Hen Abbott the son his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due and of right accustomed and he gave to the lord for a fine and did his fealty
