at this court it was presented by the homage that sitting the court and out of court the said Jn Stephens the younger lying sick on his death bed did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Giles Crow the lord's bailiff and in the presence of Wm Adams and Jn Clerke two customary tenants of the said manor the same witnessing etc all that his copyhold tenement or cottage and the yard garden and appurtenances to the same belonging late of Allen and now in the tenure or occupation of Edw Stephens brother of the said Jn Stephens to the use and behoof of the said Edw Stephens and of his heirs and assigns forever
