whereas at a court held for the said manor 16.1.1655 Jas Game was admitted tenant to him and his heirs to three parcels of land containing 9a more or less with the appurtenances called Bettesland now at this court it was presented by the homage that the said Jas Game since the last court died without heir of his body and that Jane Game is his sole sister and heir of the age of 17yrs or thereabouts who being present in court desired to be admitted tenant to the same to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward did grant and deliver thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said three parcels of land with the appurtenances to the said Jane and to her heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due etc and 5li was assigned for her fine payable as followeth that is to say 20s upon 25.3.next 40s upon 29.9.1659 and 40s upon 25.3.1660 and because the said Jane is within age as aforesaid the lord of the said manor by his said steward at the petition of the said Jane did grant and commit the custody of the said lands to Edw Browne grandfather of the said Jane to have and to hold the same to the said Edw until the said Jane shall attain her age of twenty one years of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord etc according to the custom of the said manor by the rents and services due yielding then a true account to the said Jane of the rents and profits of the premises and doing no strip of waste thereupon and for the said custody the said Edw gave to the lord for a fine etc
