and afterwards in the same court and in open court the said Thos and Eliz did come and the said Eliz being by the said steward solely and secretly examined and consenting they the said Thos and Eliz did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of his said steward the said croft of land called Walnutt Tree Croft with the appurtenances to the use of the said Eliz and of the heirs of her body lawfully begotten and for default of such issue to the use of the heirs and assigns of the said Eliz forever to which said Eliz desiring the same the lord of the said manor by his said steward hath granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said croft of land with the appurtenances to the said Eliz and to the heirs of her body and for default of such issue to the heirs and assigns of the said Eliz forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs for the same due and of right accustomed and her fine was pardoned
