at this court it was presented by the homage that since the last court that is to say upon 26.3.1659 Jn Wade a customary tenant of the said manor did surrender into the hands of the lord of the said manor by the hands of Jn Allen in place of the bailiff and in the presence of Wm Adams and Jn Bullocke two customary tenants of the said manor the same witnessing etc all that customary tenement or cottage and garden with the appurtenances called Rushpitts lying near Rushpitt and Colne Park to the use of Thos Bullocke of Earls Colne labourer and of his heirs and assigns forever which premises the said Jn Wade did take to him and his heirs at a court held for the said manor 17.1.1649 and thereupon the said Thos being present in court desired to be admitted tenant of the same to whom the lord of the said manor by his said steward hath granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said tenement or cottage garden and appurtenances to the said Thos Bullocke his heirs and assigns forever of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs due etc and he gave for his fine etc
