whereas at a court here held 19.10.1659 it was presented by the homage that Isaac Payne who held for himself and his heirs by copy of court roll one customary tenement called Seabrights with appurtenances after the then last court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Lay instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Hen Abbott and illegible text Clerke two customary tenants of the said manor the same witnessing etc the said tenement with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Robt Allen alias Payne and Rose his wife and the heirs and assigns of the said Robt forever but because no one then came etc now to this court came the said Robt and Rose and humbly sought admittance as tenants of the premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered thereof seisin by the rod to have and to hold the said tenement with appurtenances to the said Robt and Rose and the heirs and assigns of the said Robt forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine and the said Robt made fealty
