whereas at a court here held 17.1.1655 Eliz Death and Jn Death were admitted tenants of the lord viz the said Eliz for her lifetime and after her decease the remainder to the said Jn and his heirs according to the tenor and effect of the testament and last will of Wm Death deceased to seven crofts of land with appurtenances called Michills containing by estimation about 30a with a barn thereon built now at this court it was shown by the homage that the said Eliz after the last general court died seised thereof and that the said Jn Death in the lifetime of the said Eliz died without heirs of his body procreated and that Wm Death is his brother and heir upon which came into the court the said Wm Death and sought admittance as tenant of the lord for the premises to whom the lord by the said steward granted and delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have and to hold the said barn and croft of land with appurtenances to the said Wm his heirs and assigns according to the tenor and effect of the testament and last will of the said Wm Death deceased from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine
