whereas at the last court held for this manor the said Geo Potter took to him and his heirs by copy of court roll one cottage and a parcel of land late of the waste soil of the manor aforesaid situate upon Colne Green now at this court the said Geo surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of the steward the said premises etc to the use of Rich Appleton junior for and during the term of his life and after his death to the use of Ann his wife for the term of her life and after their deaths to the use of the use of the right heirs of the said Rich forever upon which the said Rich and Ann humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin etc to have and to hold the said premises etc to the said Rich for the term of his life and after his death to the said Ann for the term of her life and after their deaths to the right heirs of the said Rich of the lord etc and they gave for fine etc
