whereas at a court here held 16.10.1673 Jn Kendall was admitted to him and his heirs to three crofts of land called Petcrofts alias Peticrofts with appurtenances containing by estimation 4a now at this court it appeared to the homage that the said Jn Kendall 4.4.last surrendered by the rod into the lord's hands by the hands of Geo Toller gentleman instead of the bailiff and in the presence of Robt Potter and Jn Finch two customary tenants etc all the aforesaid crofts of land with appurtenances now in the occupation of Salmon Stevens or his assigns and the reversion and remainder etc of the said Jn Kendall of and in the premises and all his customary lands held of the manor aforesaid by copy of court roll to the sole and proper use of Jas Linnett of Markshall yeoman and his heirs and assigns forever which said Jas Linnett present in court humbly petitioned admittance etc to whom the steward delivered seisin to have and to hold the said crofts of land with appurtenances to the said Jas Linnett his heirs and assigns of the lord etc and gave the lord for fine etc
