at a court held 16.10.1673 Jn Carter was admitted to one cottage and a parcel of land late of a waste field of the said manor situate on Colne Green now at this court shown by the homage that the said Jn Carter surrendered on 6.11.1678 by Jn Chaplin gentleman instead of the bailiff in the presence of Jn Rosbrooke and Robt Payne the said cottage and parcel of land and appurtenances to Abraham Campyn of Earls Colne and Hannah Campyn of Earls Colne and to the longer liver and to their heirs and assigns Abraham Campyn is present in the court and Hannah is represented by him as her attorney they seek admittance etc and they pay the fine etc
