at a court held 2.1.1667 Jn Finch and Hannah his wife were admitted to one messuage or cottage called Francis and a yard and garden belonging with appurtenances and at a court held 3.9.1679 it appeared that Jn Finch on 23.6.1679 surrendered by the hands of Dan Nightingale instead of the bailiff in the presence of Ralph Josselin clerk and Humph Ruggles etc the said premises to the use of his will now at this court it appeared that he died after the last court and that the said Hanna also died before the said Jn upon which came Sam Finch brother of the said Jn and showed his will dated 3.6.1679 the tenor concerning the premises in the following words first I give unto my brother Sam Finch my customary tenement wherein I now dwell called Francis with all the appurtenances after my decease to him the said Sam his heirs and assigns forever by divers conditions expressed in the will and upon this the said Sam Finch was admitted and gave fine and made fealty
