at a court held 16.10.1673 Robt Newton took three parcels of land containing 9a called Bettesland with appurtenances and at a court held 27.12.1676 the said Robt was admitted to one messuage with a yard garden and yard (sic) belonging to the same messuage and to two parcels of land and one grove called Bettesland Wood now at this court it appeared that he died after the last court and that Jn Newton is his brother and heir and he was admitted and gave fine etc
