at a court 26.3.1690 Eliz Savill was admitted to her and to her heirs of her body in coparcenary with Mary Savill her sister to certain customary lands with appurtenances called Bridgemans one head abutting onto land called Stanley and Newmans to the east and another head abutting onto land called Swannells to the south other head abutting onto the highway leading from Earls Colne to Colne Engaine to the west and other head abutting to the great river to the north by estimation 13a more or less and also to all that three parts the whole in four parts divided of a certain meadow or parcel of land called Packesgate Meade alias Ringers lying next to Colne Park containing 10a more or less and also the other quarter part of the said meadow called Pakesgate Meade into four parts divided now it appears that the said Eliz lately died seised of half the premises and that the said Mary Savill is her kinswoman and next heir concerning which the said Mary Savill by Jn Eldred junior in part attorney is admitted to half of the premises etc gave fine fealty respited
