at a court held 26.3.1690 Mary Kendall was admitted to her and her heirs to one messuage with orchard called Barretts alias Mihill situate in Earls Colne now in the occupation of Eliz Kendall widow according to the will of Nich Kendall her father dated 15.2.1690 in which will this clause states viz I give to my loving wife Mary and her heirs and assigns forever all the aforesaid messuage and tenement with appurtenances if the said Mary Kendall my daughter shall happen to depart this life without issue of her body lawfully begotten now at this court it appears that the said Mary Kendall late died without heir of her body and that Mary Kendall widow of the said Nich and now wife of Wm Emberson present here in court admitted etc gave fine fealty respited
