at a court held 31.3.1691 Gilb Smith and Eliz his wife were admitted for lives and life of longest liver and after their deaths to the right heirs of said Gilb forever amongst other lands and tenements to one meadow called Hobstevens containing by estimation 1a2r more or less now it appears to homage at this court that said Gilb Smith and Eliz his wife said Eliz first by Sam Burton standing then as deputy of the manor by virtue of having been deputed under hand and seal of Jn Eldred esq steward of the said manor (examined) on 8.1.1696 surrendered by the rod etc said premises plus appurtenances by name of one meadow called Hobstevens Meadow containing by estimation 1a2r more or less now in occupation of Rich Boorley or assigns to sole use of Thos Little gentleman his heirs and assigns forever who is present here in court and humbly petitions etc admitted to parcel of meadow with appurtenances etc said Thos Little his heirs and assigns should pay annually to the lord at the usual feasts 1s and not more gives fine fealty respited
