at a court held 28.3.1695 Rebecca Carter was admitted for life and after her death to use of such persons as said Rebecca whether married or widow or with consent of her husband under her hand and seal should nominate and appoint and for want of such limitations to Eliz Hatch daughter of Hen Hatch and his wife Eliz heirs and assigns of Eliz forever to one cottage lately built and one parcel of land lying next to cemetery of church of Earls Colne abutting onto yard sometime Wm Bridge's and Rich Hatch junior then in occupation Xoph Parkinson and held by annual rent of 12d with services now at this court appears to homage that Rebecca Carter died seised and said Rebecca did not make any limitations or apportionments now came Eliz Hatch daughter of Hen and Eliz humbly petitions etc the lord by his steward granted delivery of seisin to have and to hold the premises etc fealty respited
