by court held 11.9.1677 Dorothy Nightingell was admitted to her and her heirs to one parcel land called Spriggs Garden with pond adjoining free messuage held now by Wm Chapman called Scriveners now to this court it appeared etc that said Dorothy late died seised and that Thos Nightingell is her eldest son and heir who present her in court etc the lord by steward granted etc to have and to hold premises etc giving fine fealty respited
