to this court it is testified by the deputy steward and appears to homage that Jn Hatch customary tenant of this manor 4.2.last past came before the deputy steward and surrendered by the rod into the hand of the lord by hand of the deputy steward according to custom of the manor one messuage or tenement called Goulds alias Gouldsgate and five parcels land containing by estimation 15a more or less sometime in occupation of Wm Emberson and now or late in tenure or occupation of Wm Williamson his heirs assigns with appurtenances and held of this manor by copy of court roll with reversion and reversions remainder and remainders of them to the several uses below mentioned viz to the use of himself said Jn Hatch and his assigns for life and after his death to use of Susan his wife for life and after her death to the heirs of body of Susan and Jn Hatch procreated or to be procreated and for defect of such heirs to the use of right heirs of Jn Hatch forever
